About Dr. David E. McFarland
Prior to serving as president of Kutztown University of Pennsylvania for 14 years, Dr. McFarland was provost and vice president for academic affairs at the University of Central Missouri. He also has held administrative and faculty appointments at Pittsburg State University, Wichita State University and the University of Kansas.

A regular speaker and workshop facilitator at the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU) conferences for chief academic officers, Dr. McFarland also has served on the faculty for AASCU’s Experienced Presidents Academy. He also co-chaired two White House Conferences on Teacher Education.
